When will I see results from the profhilo treatment?

Omdat je huid tijd nodig heeft om collageen en elastine aan te maken, duurt het een paar weken voordat je van de resultaten kunt genieten. Je kunt binnen 1 tot 2 weken na de behandeling de eerste verbeteringen zien. De volledige effecten zijn na 4 tot 6 weken zichtbaar.

Does profhilo treatment need to be repeated?

The skin's DNA is programmed to keep aging. Unfortunately, this means when you want skin improvement/tightening that you obviously have to keep stimulating it. Once mature skin is no longer stimulated, then your effect will also gradually diminish. After the first course of two or three treatments, you can repeat the Profhilo treatment every 9 to 12 months with only 1 session. The repetition frequency depends on your skin condition. You will always receive personalized advice on the best repeat frequency for you. Combine this treatment in our "Sarasin Glow" protocol.

How does a profhilo treatment proceed?

You can make a reservation with one of our doctors online; you are not required to come for a consultation first. Everything is discussed just before treatment. Only 5 superficial injections per facial half are required. In a Profhilo treatment, the hyaluronic acid is injected with the so-called 5-points BAP technique. Here, injections are placed at 5 spots per side of the face, with 0.2 ml of hyaluronic acid per injection. These 5 spots are specially chosen so that the risk of bruising is as small as possible. The injections are well tolerated, a numbing ointment is not necessary here. For a first course of Profhilo, you always need two to three sessions, depending on your skin condition. Between each session there is a month interval.

Who is profhilo suitable for?

Profhilo is suitable for both men and women who want to improve the skin of their face/neck or hands. The ideal starting age is 35. From this age, collagen and elastin production of your skin decrease, causing the skin to age. The vast majority of our patients do a Profhilo treatment to improve skin texture, soften fine wrinkles, obtain the typical "glow" effect and tighten the skin.

Are there any risks associated with profhilo?

Profhilo treatment is a very safe treatment. As with any injection, it is possible for small bruises to occur. Because the injections are superficial, that chance is very low. We advise our patients not to consume alcohol or Ibuprofen 24 hours before a treatment. For the first few hours after treatment, small bumps will be visible at the injection site. This is normal, and will go away within a few hours. Your skin will not become red, nor will it flake after treatment.

How does a profhilo body treatment work?

Through an injection needle, we apply Profhilo to the area to be treated. Profhilo® Body spreads very well, so only a few injections are needed to treat an entire zone. The treatment is quick and painless. A course of 2 treatments at 30-day intervals is recommended. If necessary, follow-up treatments can be scheduled.

How long do the results of profhilo treatment last?

The natural aging process is not halted with a Profhilo Body treatment. Therefore, how long the effect of a treatment remains visible depends greatly on skin condition, the rate of volume loss and external factors such as exposure to sunlight. In general, the result lasts about 6 to 9 months. For optimal result retention, we recommend 1 maintenance treatment every 6 months thereafter. 2 to 3 treatments are required at one month intervals, depending on the degree of skin sagging.

What is the difference between Fillers and profhilo?

Profhilo is not a filler. It does not fill the skin or create volume. It stimulates a skin's own process by hyaluronic acid. The hyaluronic acid in Profhilo is used in a different way than Fillers. Profhilo treatments stimulate the skin to make its own collagen and elastin. Aging and sagging tissues are stimulated to produce new firm cells.

When is profhilo treatment not recommended?

In principle, a Profhilo treatment is suitable for everyone from about 30 years old who wants to firm and tighten the skin from within. However, some wishes can only be obtained with a surgical procedure, so feel free to book a free consultation. We do not perform treatments when you are pregnant.

Voor optimale resultaten raden we een initiële reeks van 2 tot 3 behandelingen aan, met een interval van ongeveer vier weken. Om de resultaten te behouden is een herhaalbehandeling elke zes maanden voldoende, afhankelijk van je huidconditie en persoonlijke wensen.

Is Profhilo beter dan botox?

Of Profhilo beter is dan Botox hangt af van jouw persoonlijke behoeften en esthetische doelen. Hoe moet ik slapen na een Profhilobehandeling?

Je kunt de nacht na een profhilobehandeling van het gezicht het beste op je rug slapen met een extra kussen zodat zodat je iets verhoogd ligt. Let hier ook op als je een Profhilobehandeling aan de handen of armen hebt gehad.

Hoe lang duren bijwerkingen meestal?

Bijwerkingen van Profhilo duren meestal niet langer dan enkele dagen. De meeste milde reacties zoals roodheid en zwelling nemen binnen 24 tot 48 uur af. Blauwe plekken kunnen iets langer zichtbaar zijn maar verdwijnen normaal gesproken binnen een week.

Kan Profhilo gebruikt worden in combinatie met andere esthetische behandelingen?
