Hyalase: correction of faulty fillers

Not satisfied with your fillers? Fortunately, there is a product, Hyalase®, that can dissolve the filler so you are rid of an unwanted result in no time.

PRICE

From €200

TREATMENT TIME

30 minutes

EFFECT

Permanent

Please note that this product is an enzyme (whose active ingredient is hyaluronidase). If you are allergic to bovine proteins or wasp stings, be sure to report it!

To ensure that you do not have an allergic reaction, we inject a minimal amount into the skin of the arm. If we experience no reaction within 10 min then you can undergo the procedure.

How does Hyalase work?

  • Hyaluronidase or Hyalase can be injected into the hyaluronic acid filler causing it to "partially" dissolve and be accelerated by the body. But it can also break down the naturally occurring hyaluronic acid present in the body.
  • If you want to dissolve the filler with hyalase, this usually has an immediate visible effect, although it can still take 2 weeks before you will see the final result.
  • Sometimes repeat treatment is necessary, especially if the filler was initially treated carefully so as not to dissolve 100%. In that case, too little hyaluronidase may have been injected. But better to treat twice, than to dissolve too much the first time - unless it is desired that the filler be removed in its entirety.

Possibility of allergic reaction

  • The administration of Hyalase® can lead to anaphylaxis (a severe allergic reaction) that is itself life-threatening and requires immediate medical attention.
  • Symptoms of a severe allergic reaction may include shortness of breath, wheezing, coughing, difficulty swallowing, swelling of the tongue, eyelids, lips, hoarseness of voice, stomach pain, nausea or diarrhea.
  • Some other common injection reactions may occur after the procedure. These reactions include redness, swelling, pain, itching, bruising and tenderness at the injection site.
They are generally described as mild to moderate and usually resolve spontaneously after a few days following the injection. Bruising can sometimes be more significant

How does treatment with Hyalase proceed?

We advise that patients should first consider going to the doctor who placed the filler. However, if they do not want to do this, we can perform treatment with Hyalase.

In the drawing below, you can see step by step how a Hyalase treatment proceeds.
