Smoker's lines treatment (Filler)

1. Do not use permanent Fillers
Permanent Fillers are often described as a ticking time bomb until complications arise, although of course these effects do not occur in everyone. Complaints can range from hardening, abscesses, inflammation, and skin retraction. Therefore, the use of permanent Fillers is also forbidden when permanent Fillers were used you can only surgically remove them and in extreme cases they are impossible to remove.

2. Always use TEMPORARY hyaluronic acid Fillers.
Hyaluronic acid is also a body's own substance found in the skin and provides skin firming. It is a translucent liquid that is injected into the skin and has a temporary effect that ranges from 6 to 24 months. This is because the body breaks down this natural substance itself.

3. Extremely inexpensive filler treatment
On average, a filler treatment costs between 280 and 400 euros (1 ml). The price is partly based on the cost of materials, the time of the consultation and treatment and your own wishes.

4. Beware of permanent and cheap Fillers!!! These are prohibited by the way!!!
Cheap is often expensive! Beware of websites and clinics at home and abroad that offer extremely low prices. There is a chance that the clinic uses a cheap filler that is not certified in Belgium or our neighboring countries. Often these types of fillers come from Asia with all its consequences.

Of course, in addition to using safe Fillers, it is also important to have a filler injected by an experienced and skilled doctor!

A person who is skilled must have extensive knowledge of product properties, facial anatomy, implementation, different treatment techniques and possible risks. So be careful to ensure that you are only treated by a doctor who has proven experience. Check his or her medical background, education and read various reviews about the doctor or clinic where he or she works.

In Belgium and the Netherlands, Fillers may only be performed by doctors!

Before starting we will take pictures of the lips and discuss in detail what your wishes are.
Then we will apply the numbing ointment which will ensure that you will have no pain during the procedure.
The doctor will inject with a very fine needle. Next, you may have to massage your lips a little to get a good spread of the lip filler.
If desired, you may be given a "cold pack" on the lips to minimize the temporary swelling caused by the procedure. The treatment takes a maximum of 30 min.

Everything is discussed in detail first, going from your wishes and questions as well as the feasibility of meeting your needs.
Almost all Fillers contain a local anesthetic which also minimizes your discomfort during the injections. These are performed using very fine needles and flexible micro cannulas.
Immediately after the Fillers are injected, pressure is applied with gauze.
The treatment session itself takes only a few minutes, depending on the number of injections needed.
You can return to your normal activities immediately after the procedure.
Redness, bruising and some swelling are common side effects of Fillers injections into the skin, but they usually resolve within 24 to 48 hours.

Swelling after lip, nose or tear trough treatment may last longer than other areas. If symptoms persist or other reactions occur, contact Sarasin Clinic.

1. Cool
On the day of your treatment, you may cool the treated area with "Cold Packs" change these packs every 10 minutes (do not apply directly to the skin). Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Do not expose the area to intense heat (for example, a solarium or sauna)

2. Calm
Avoid pressure on the treated areas for the first few nights (sleep on your back if possible). Pain relief such as paracetamol can be taken as directed by your doctor

3. Clear
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours. Do not use AHA, Retinols/Vitamin C therapy or oil-based makeup for 24 hours. Avoid facials, facial waxes, glycolic or AHA peels, IPL or energy treatments and microdermabrasion for 1 week after treatment (unless otherwise advised by your doctor). Do not massage the treated area unless advised by your doctor. No makeup until the day after the procedure is ideal in patients receiving lip filler, do not smoke for at least 24 hours after receiving the injections. Even better, use this opportunity to quit smoking for good. Also avoid wearing lipstick for 24 hours.

Patients with nasal filler should not wear glasses for 24 hours after injections
