Does PRP work against hair loss?

PRP is becoming very popular as people are more and more convinced of the power of their own bodies.

In addition, you are less likely to have allergic reactions and you are not injecting foreign substances.

What is PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma?

PRP is centrifuged blood from which we extract the plasma and inject it in the place where you want hair improvement or even skin improvement. This plasma contains cells and growth factors. It is mainly the growth factors that have a very powerful effect on the hair follicles.

Are you a man or woman suffering from hair loss? Then PRP is the technique to boost your hair growth!

  • Hair follicles that no longer produce hair are thus stimulated to produce hair again.
  • Hair follicles that have shriveled up a bit get back more blood supply and literally come back to life which will eventually make them produce hair again.

You will see that your hair forest becomes fuller and new hairs begin to grow back.

  • A standard blood draw is taken of about 20 ml.

  • Plasma is drawn up in a syringe and this is then injected with a small fine needle in the areas where you want hair improvement.

Is a PRP treatment permanent?

A PRP treatment is not permanent, which means that for optimal results it is best to have it done twice a year. This way you prevent hair loss again and make sure your hair follicles are stimulated to produce hair.

Is a PRP treatment painful?

For most people, this is a painful treatment, but fortunately it is short-lived so you'll get rid of it quickly!

First there will be a blood draw and then you will have several pricks. Most people report that the puncture itself is not too bad, but injecting your plasma can be sensitive.
