No, the hyaluronic acid used in fillers is different from the hyaluronic acid in our bodies and profhilo. The molecules of the hyaluronic acid in fillers are cross-linked, slowing down the hyaluronic acid breakdown process.
Profhilo is not a filler because the hyaluronic acid is not cross-linked and is almost identical to the body's own hyaluronic acid. Profhilo does not remain - however, as with a filler - under the skin, but rather is absorbed by the body very quickly.
Profhilo's unique formula stimulates subcutaneous fatty tissue, which decreases significantly with age. This subcutaneous layer creates smooth, youthful contours of the face.

Following this is the treatment:
- Using a thin needle, small amounts (2 ml) of Profhilo are applied to specific points on the face, under the skin.
- The injected gel spreads evenly subcutaneously, reaching all areas of the face.
Painless
- Anesthesia during Profhilo treatment is not necessary.
- The treatment is painless because the needle is very thin and only very small amounts of fluid are used.
Duration of treatment
- In total, a treatment with Profhilo takes 15-30 minutes.
Suitable areas
The Profhilo treatment is not only suitable for the face, but can also be applied to:

Are multiple treatments needed?
For best results, we recommend a course of three treatments.
The second Profhilo treatment takes place one month after the first treatment. After the second treatment, the production of collagen and elastin increases the most. For optimal results, it is best to repeat the treatment every 6 months.

Results and aftercare
- You can resume daily activities immediately after the treatment; if desired, you can apply makeup immediately.
- Profhilo is inserted with a needle, because of this there may be a small blue spot that disappears completely within a few days.
- You will see immediate results after the treatment: the facial contours already appear smoother and a glow appears on the skin immediately.
- After four weeks, we repeat the treatment again. You will have the best results after three sessions.
- Profhilo is not a filler, it is more difficult to determine how long the result lasts.
We recommend three Profhilo treatments every four weeks, then you can repeat the treatment every six months.
Depending on your skin condition and volume loss, the results remain visible between six and 12 months .
