Pre- and post-treatment
For a good final result, your own preparation and aftercare for the treatment is also a very important parameter. The doctor will take ample time during any initial consultation and before the treatment to inform you about this. You would therefore do well to follow these recommendations closely. Because muscle relaxants are placed with small injections it is always possible that small bruises form in the days after the treatment. However, by using a cold pack, this can be reduced to a minimum. The swelling and bruising will subside after a few days. Any discomfort after the treatment is also transient.
