HIFU treatments are effective and non-invasive, making them quite popular for good reason. Because we at Sarasin Clinic consider your safety and ultimately overall satisfaction very important, we still like to make a few sidenotes. We like to keep it real.
Is the treatment painful?
- HIFU treatment is not perceived as painful by most patients, but may feel somewhat uncomfortable. After treatment, a very small percentage still experience discomfort in the form of tingling in the treated areas. A study showed that 25% of patients experienced pain after treatment, but it disappeared on its own after a maximum of 4 weeks.
Possible side effects of HIFU treatment
- Scientific research shows that the side effects of HIFU treatment are minimal. Only in a few cases do adverse side effects occur, and when they do they are often very mild and short-lived.
- We also find that side effects are often nil, even at Sarasin Clinic. At worst, slight swelling and redness of the treated skin occurs. However, we find that this swelling disappears very quickly. We also give tips for aftercare after the treatment, so that you can take optimal care of the treated area.

What result can you expect?
