Usually one treatment is enough to get a good result. If you would need more, we will discuss this beforehand.

So you always know in advance what the cost of the treatment will be.
We never open a second syringe without the patient's consent.

Each treatment contains 1 syringe, and each syringe contains 1ml of filler that is used only once. It is therefore not possible, for example, to complete two 0.5ml treatments with the same syringe, obviously for hygienic reasons.

Of course, this does not necessarily mean that the full 1ml must be injected each time. Our esthetician always discusses with you in advance your wishes and expectations of the result, in order to approach it afterwards as closely as possible.

There is a small amount of anesthetic in our tear trough Fillers, so in principle, additional anesthetic is not necessary. If one really wishes, a numbing cream can be applied. Please note that numbing ointment can cause swelling under the eyes, making it difficult for the doctor to determine how much filler he wishes to inject! If a cannula is used, a local anesthetic (small prick) may be used before the cannula is inserted into the skin. Cold Packs are used afterward to reduce pain and swelling and the risk of bruising.

What is the process of treatment with tear trough Fillers?

Before the doctor will begin, everything is discussed in detail. It is important that the doctor knows what your wishes are, and that the doctor can suggest the right treatment and price. The area is cleaned with alcohol and chlorhexide to help prevent infection. The doctor will use a needle to inject the tear trough filler. Then pressure with gauze will be applied. If a cannula is used, a small injection of local anesthetic may be injected into the skin. Then a mini small hole is made in the skin where the cannula is inserted. What is the aftercare after treatment with tear trough filler?

There may be redness and swelling, and red dots or bruising where the injection or cannula is inserted. If a cannula is used, bruising is less common. What can you expect after a tear trough filler treatment?

The effect of the tear trough filler will be immediate. Most of the swelling from the tear trough filler will be gone 2-3 days after the procedure. Even 2-4 weeks after the procedure, there may still be some minor swelling. If there is bruising, it may last up to 7-8 days.

What are the risks associated with tear trough filler treatment?

What if I observe assymetry at some point before the 2-week point?

Traangles are often asymmetrical to begin with, and your doctor will do his best to work on this. In the early stages after treatment, asymmetry will sometimes occur because one side is more swollen or bruised. Usually it will correct itself by the time of the checkup appointment. If it does not, it can be examined at the repeat appointment. There is no point in coming in early to treat asymmetry, as swelling often occurs and thus the final result will not be visible for at least 2 weeks. Treating asymmetry too early can lead to further asymmetry. Further treatment may be necessary to improve the asymmetry.

How long does a treatment with tear trough filler last?

The injection itself only takes a maximum of 10 min, but before we perform the treatment, everything is discussed with you in detail. You will still spend an average of 45 min with us in the Clinic.

How long will the effect of a tear trough filler remain visible?

This depends greatly on how much the doctor injected. Expect the filler to last about 8 months, after that it is best that you definitely have the filler placed annually.
